2020 Community Fund grant recipient.

As a mission-driven not-for-profit organization, Rivermark continues to focus its community giving on organizations and programs that support housing insecurity, food insecurity, and children’s health and welfare.

Each year, Rivermark evaluates the needs facing the communities it serves and selects a grant recipient from the Rivermark Community Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation.  We are pleased to announce Rebuilding Together as this year’s $20,000 grant recipient.

Rebuilding Together is a nonprofit organization that assists low-income homeowners with needed home repairs at no cost.  The Washington County and Portland chapters of Rebuilding Together will each receive $10,000.  “We focus on the elderly, people with disabilities, families with children and veterans and are so grateful for the support of Rivermark,” said Danielle Schira, Rebuilding Together’s Executive Director for Washington County.

Rivermark’s donation comes at a time when many local families are feeling overwhelmed with rising rent and housing costs.

“The stress around housing insecurity can have an impact on the overall health and financial well-being of people in the communities we serve,” said Seth Schaefer, Rivermark’s President/CEO.  “Giving back to the community is an important part of our core values. This donation is just a start of our commitment and partnership with Rebuilding Together,” continued Schaefer.

About Rebuilding Together: A nonprofit organization that provides critical home repairs, modifications, and improvements for low-income homeowners. Their work includes carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, flooring and ADA home safety modifications.
